Pros

Clothing allowance was nice. But, not worth it. The amount of times you had to wear the same thing in a week made the garments wear out and pill quickly.

Cons

This is not a place to work if you want to grow. The company does not attract talented managers to run their business. They would rather hire green leaders and then not develop them. It is clearly to save money because the stores are so low volume. I've worked in a few locations in the city and helped out with coverage gaps. I've seen someone get promoted to SM and the stock room lacked basic organizational standards (Prince St.). HR does not fully look into complaints even when there is black and white photos of what is happening. Instead the harassment is allowed to continue. I've seen the manager in Meatpacking direct sales away from people to make their sales lower and denied someone sick pay (which is legally required to be paid out). In private she is extremely ghetto and unprofessional. I feel bad for the people that want to grow in the company and then get stuck in the same position for years. Unfortunately, the DM is out of touch with what happens in her stores and stresses her mangers out so they do not speak up. This is not an environment that people are really able to put their best foot forward because there is so much chattyness and sabotage.

Pros

Dog Friendly. Flexible work hours. WFH Fridays. Valet Parking. Decent benefits and salary (lower-mid range).

Cons

Toxic toxic toxic workplace. Snobby Leadership and Team Members. Incompetent training staff and procedures. Outdated systems and processes. Horrible treatment and management of factory and vendor teams. Demeaning and condescending leadership and teams environment. Micromanaging from teams and leadership. High turnover. No one is happy to be working at Vince and often very snobby to each other. (Think of Devils Wear Prada work environment and staff without the high business sense or fashion sense for their clients). Rude to their staff and fit models. Bullying by staff with new hires, freelancers, and temporary employees. Leadership and management looks down on you and doesn’t like you talking to other colleagues or building strong work friendships (they scare the staff from being too friendly towards each other).
