Pros

The job at Vincero consists of stopping people in retailers and pressuring then to sign a 2-year contract with DirecTV. You’ll be paid $10 per hour and work evenings and weekends. Commission starts after you have covered the cost of your weekly salary. It’s called ‘being profitable’ and is extremely rare, though they will give you a spread sheet which quotes prices up to 8 sales per week when you first start. People in the office average 2-3 per week. This will net you a paycheck of $340 per week after taxes, with no benefits. You’ll become familiar with the phrase ‘get, excited’ because the in-office portion of the workday resembles a pentecostal church revival with chanting and bell ringing. Literally, there are bells and cymbals you hit while yelling. There is defiantly a 'drinking the koolaid' aspect to working here. They’ll expect you to get in early, stay late, and work through your lunch. But after a few weeks you’ll work the stores alone and no one supervises you, so it’s pretty chill (and no one ever gets fired because they’d have to pay unemployment). And in the Sam’s clubs there are a lot of free food samples; it helps you deal with the rejection. The business model is to eventually promote you out to your own city, you’ll go through a series of levels: brand ambassador, corporate trainer, assistant manager, owner. At owner you’ll get your own office: I’ve been told 70% of these offices fail, but I have never seen someone go out and succeed in the time that I’ve worked here. This is the reality: Vincero is part of a pyramid scheme. Not under the legal definition, but in form. The people who got in early are making good money and their stories are trumpeted, along with an occasional outlier. The truth is there is an incredible amount of turnover. The business model is just to keep hiring and let people quit as they burn out Joe's cool.

Cons

The biggest issue are the lies... they are endemic. Kinda fun if you can play the game.

Thank you for taking the time to review our company. It is concerning to us that, since your review states that you are a current employee, you are so unhappy with your work environment. We would like to address your concerns so that you may feel more comfortable in your work environment. First off, we explain your pay structure in detail in your interview process, and while we do have a base hourly pay that you are guaranteed, like any job involving sales – the commission is 100% based on your own ability. The hourly is in place so that even if you have an unlucky week, you will still be taking home a reasonable paycheck. We apologize if you are not comfortable with the atmosphere of our office. However, our energetic, positive in-office meetings have historically shown great success in motivating and rewarding our employees through recognition, while providing and maintaining high morale. More simply: we want you to have fun while you are working! In regards to our employees’ schedules: our most successful representatives come in early, stay late, and choose to work through their lunch on his or her own initiative, as they value a strong work ethic. We do not, nor would we ever expect you to, work through your lunch, or come into work before or past your schedule. If you feel pressured to do so, please do not hesitate to express this to any of our managers, as they will all reassure you that you are in no way required to work extra hours. The reality is – we are not a pyramid scheme. We have a clear cut business model that has shown great success, as shown by our expansion in the last 5 years to over 20 successful locations. While it is true that some people fail in being able to open up their own location – as is the case in any business you come across – Vincero does its very best to facilitate every one of its employee’s success, including your own!

Thank you for leaving a review, however, the definition of a pyramid scheme is "a form of investment (illegal in the US and elsewhere) in which each paying participant recruits two further participants, with returns being given to early participants using money contributed by later ones" We do not ask for money from anyone at any time, we pay all of our our employees. We do offer benefits to all of our employees, we also give full reimbursements for everyone who travels with us. If you have any questions or are missing anything please don't hesitate to call us to rectify.
