Calm engineering environment. Tooling could be more modern - QA Engineer Violet InfoSystems Employee Review

Pros

QA gets actual respect here, which isn't always the case in services-flavoured companies. Cross-team relationship with dev is healthy — when I raise something, the response is usually 'show me the repro,' not 'are you sure?'. I test across modules which keeps the role from getting narrow. Manager doesn't ping me on weekends, which I'd been worried about coming in.

Cons

Test infrastructure is older than I'd like. We're modernising but it's been on the roadmap longer than I'd want. Career path beyond senior QA isn't fully mapped — I asked recently and got a thoughtful answer but no real plan. If you're a QA lifer who wants a clean test-engineering progression, this might frustrate you.

Pros

Every implementation is different. Last quarter I had a banking client and an automotive manufacturer running in parallel which sounds nuts but worked because the senior on my team divided client meetings between us cleanly. You learn how to read a client's signals fast — when they say 'let's see the report next week' it can mean five different things. The team will mentor if you ask, which not every consulting-flavoured firm does.

Cons

When two go-lives overlap, the workload is real. There were six weeks last year I worked through alternate Saturdays. We're told it's getting better and structurally I can see planning improving, but if you're sensitive to spikes this is something to weigh. Good fit if you don't mind seasonal intensity for the variety.
