Pros
Virginia Transportation can not be compared to any other company that uses 18 wheels, because there are no other companies on this level. It all starts with the owner, Leo. He is a trucker and a hell of a human being. He is not greedy. He invests in this company unlike anywhere else I have ever worked, and thus I will never leave Virginia. Trucks are the best in the industry. That is not debatable. You can have a day-cab or a sleeper. I use a day-cab. The pay is the best in the industry. Also not debatable. The benefits are very good. There has never been any lay-offs. We are in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic currently, and Virginia is covering 100% of our health insurance contributions, and nobody is losing their job, even when the factories, dealers, and entire states are closed. I can walk into any terminal and talk to every employee like they were a childhood friend. This is the 3rd car-hauling company I have worked for, and it will be the last. We are literally light-years ahead of the competition in respect for each other, equipment, pay, company morale. My dispatchers treat me like friends, and I consider them friends. When us drivers talk to each other, we always talk about how much we love it here, which is something you won't find anywhere else. Leo, the owner, will introduce himself to you as the janitor. The reason is we are all working for the same goal, and every job is equally important. He wants to make sure everyone he hires understands this. Thanks for reading. Give us a shot if you want to be valued in your career. You won't be disappointed.
Cons
We could use better software. This is the only con and its not a big deal at all.
