Pros
Initially, Vision will promise unrealistic amounts of money for their sales folks. They will do so by showing you pictures of employees with big, blown-up checks and telling you stories. The only actual benefit to working here is the "potential" for upward mobility. It is a new company so therefore as they expend continuously there is space for new managers to be promoted from within.
Cons
Where do I start? The company is genuinely just full of crap from the get-go. Jon Seibert has this manufactured script about how to sell, most of which is about himself and how he always does what's right for the customer. In reality, he's a scumbag at the top of yet another pyramid scheme. I was consistently instructed to lie to customers to tell them what they want to hear. Management referred to them as "Pikers" or lazy people who are moronic and need to be sold to. All that ever mattered was the money. On top of this, they expect you to work ridiculous hours, driving for most of which. You would easily work 12-14 hour days 6 days a week and then be harped on for not volunteering to work 7. This includes driving hundreds of miles per day. Salary is absolutely minimal, as commission is supposedly where you make your money. Except they don't pay you. even when they do, sometimes they ask for it back. Many times you will sell to a customer, and say for instance they don't cancel. You may get half of the sale commission up after a few weeks. But say they still cancel a few weeks after... the company will ask for the money back or take it from your next check. After all of this, they don't even have installation crews, let alone crews who know what they are doing. they will jack up your roof and not so much as send an apology. To top it all off, if you think that management is an easy accomplishment, just know that Vision is a good boys club. They only promote those who are their friends, which is not a good measure of success. This is why you get a ton of unprofessional, inexperienced managers telling telling you what to and yelling at customers through the phone. If you're seriously considering working here, try something else, don't waste your time.
