Pros

Good Work-Life balance with Managers that believe it and not just say it. Competitive Pay Very friendly and open Colleagues. Management that stops in the hallways to chat or discuss how business is going from their perspective.

Cons

The coffee is plentiful but not always the best.

Pros

Management has it way more together than a lot of other companies. I was at Volant during a PLM implementation (of which 1/3 of companies that attempt to do so go bankrupt) during the downturn. They were smart enough to use the downturn to do something productive and necessary for when operations picked back up, and they did not cut down on staff until absolutely necessary. My boss was very engaged in what I was doing on a day to day basis and long term, yet wasn't micromanaging, and was very helpful in my career development; they want their employees to learn and apply what they know and succeed. Very few difficult-to-work-with people at Volant. Everyone seems to get along and though there's friction between departments sometimes (there is at any company) it smooths out quicker than most. I've been at companies where these issues are allowed to fester and become toxic, but this doesn't happen at Volant. Feel free to tell your boss exactly what you think; (s)he wants to hear it and won't cut your head off like some company cultures tend to do.

Cons

Pay is probably below average. Expect some childish company-wide emails asking you not to clip your fingernails at your desk or wear too much perfume and other such things - very clear one or two person offender issues that really should be handled without notifying the entire company.
