Pros

-better than average salary for the same role in the industry. -dynamic and fast-moving company with frequent developments, so exciting for those who want that. -great colleagues on the ground all over the company, with some industry-leading talent.

Cons

-poor department management with lack of understanding of the roles being managed coupled with micro-management. -lack of support in terms of resources, equipment and manpower, in spite of growing list of new responsibilities. Suggestions are almost always refused. -the dynamic, fast-moving nature means that previous developments are often quickly left behind without further review. Creates a sense of a lot of workarounds and talented colleagues papering over definite cracks. -HR team fail at basic confidentiality by sharing content of conversations with the actual individuals being discussed by employees. -large proportion of colleagues having never worked in a live broadcast environment before. -high stress technical departments with a blame culture fostered in the workplace.

Pros

There simply nothing good to say about this company

Cons

Working at Iran International was an extremely negative and disheartening experience. The environment is incredibly toxic and manipulative, making it a nightmare for any journalist seeking a professional and supportive workplace. The organization is plagued with disorganization at every level, and the lack of structure leads to constant chaos and frustration. Worse, there is a culture of humiliation and blatant discrimination that leaves employees feeling undervalued and disrespected. Harassment is also a serious issue, with no meaningful accountability or protection in place for staff. For a journalist, this is one of the most demoralizing environments imaginable. The management prioritizes control and manipulation over fostering talent, creativity, or fairness. It’s clear that employee well-being is not a priority, and the toxic atmosphere makes it impossible to thrive. Save yourself the stress and frustration—working here is simply not worth it. Until Iran International addresses these deeply rooted issues, I cannot recommend this organization to anyone in journalism or media.
