As a dedicated real estate agent, I take pride in going above and beyond for my clients, and I recently had an experience that tested the limits of my commitment. I worked tirelessly with a Venkat and Sobha Malla who toured more than 40 homes—both condos and houses—across Miami and Coral Gables. This included countless showings on weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Additionally, I prepared and negotiated two offers on their behalf, both of which were significantly below market value. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement with the sellers because Venkat Malla wasn’t willing to meet the fair market price for the properties they were interested in.
After all the time, energy, and expertise I invested in guiding them through the home search and negotiation process, the couple ultimately chose to purchase directly from the listing agent, likely to negotiate a rebate. It was very disappointing to say the least.
