Pros
There are a number of positives I am listing below when it comes to working at Volo Commerce - however the best things I can say from a personal perspective having previously worked in a much larger organisation is that it is incredibly straight forward to make positive changes - you will actively be encouraged to do so and it's ok for things to not go fully to plan as long as you can take away lessons from this and take corrective action. - Office location & parking - Quarterly bonus - Clear business strategy and a team of people focused on making a positive difference - Perkbox (shopping discounts, free coffee, movie rentals etc) - Sonus speaker system (could also be a con depending on your taste in music! Rebecca Black - Friday is played every week!) - Team organised events like 'Friday Feast' & 'Chicken Thursday' - Relaxed & friendly team atmosphere
Cons
The business has gone through significant change during my time at the company. At times this could have been handled better, particularly when it comes to communication. When you are a smaller organisation, communication should be a real strength, especially using communication tools like Slack however this was an area of weakness for the business. Volo Commerce recently came under new ownership and communication is something that is a real focus for the business so I believe this will be a 'Pro' in the future as opposed to a 'Con'.
