Pros
- decent benefits - some very talented and competent members in their staff
Cons
Unfortunately the worst employment experience I’ve ever had, which is ironic because one of their goals is to be ‘the best employer you’ve ever had’. This experience had a catastrophic impact on my mental health. It was disappointing going into a role as an Account Manager, only to be told that you won’t have any accounts to manage, and you never will. The role has now been renamed at Area Manager, which is thankfully more apt, but realistically, it should probably be BDM or Sales Manager. Door-to-door, cold selling is the reality. It was also very disappointing being told that it’s a flexible working environment, where you’ll be able to work from home, then learning that there is no flexibility for that at all. Many people turned up to work while being ill due to this inflexible environment. There were times I was left absolutely shocked and appalled at the conduct of upper management, with people being left humiliated in front of their peers. It seems that the sales environment was a particularly unhappy place. I got the impression that a lot of the other teams enjoy their job and their positions, a huge contrast to the sales environment where I know a lot of people don’t/didn’t enjoy their roles.
