Pros

Have some very hardworking, knowledgeable, and experienced people there. Well-meaning middle management wanting to stand by their team, help out whereever and whenever they can. Definitely a growing business. Cash be rolling in (not for you, only for upper management)

Cons

If you are not in the inner circle, you will never move up. Better have the right last name or know the right people. Upper management sucks. Inconsistent pay rate. Handled COVID shutdown terribly. People who worked there for 20+, 30+ years. Kicked out the door and never asked about them ever again. Or hired them back from like 60% of the pay they had before. Definitely no diversity.

Pros

Wasserstrom has a strong core of long‑tenured associates, which speaks to both the stability of the company and the quality of the work environment. The average associate tenure is over a decade, and with more than 123 years in business, there is a deep sense of history, craftsmanship, and commitment across the organization. Many associates have built long careers here, contributing deep knowledge and a genuine willingness to mentor, collaborate, and support one another. One of the company’s unique strengths is the close connection between the corporate office and the shop floor. Having these teams physically and operationally connected creates strong alignment, real‑time collaboration, and a shared sense of ownership in the work being done. While the company values its traditions, it is also forward‑thinking and continues to invest in innovation, process improvements, and new ways of doing business. Turnover is low, associates take pride in what they build, and it shows in both the quality of the work and the overall culture. Leadership is approachable, teamwork is encouraged, and there is a clear emphasis on safety, consistency, and continuous improvement. Associates are given opportunities to learn, grow, and build lasting careers while contributing to a company that continues to evolve and innovate.

Cons

Because the company has many long‑serving associates and established processes, the environment may feel more structured or traditional for those who prefer constant change.
