Pros

Decent pay for the area

Cons

Heavy small town clique mentality, extremely dated processes, excessive micromanaging, and an unwillingness to embrace any sort of change or suggestions. Literally build first then ask questions later, causing constant reworking, late delivery, and wasted time, instead of simply having team planning meetings to get everyone on the same page in the first place. Definitely the most disorganized and poorly run tech I've ever worked on.

WaterStreet Response

Thank you for the feedback. We do our best to ensure that our compensation package is competitive within the area and our industry and we appreciate the positive response. With regards to the feedback on planning, we adhere to Agile methodologies by valuing working software over comprehensive documentation and are guided by the 2nd principle of Agile to welcome changing requirements, even late in development. This allows us to use the flexibility of Agile for our customers’ competitive advantage. It can be difficult to find the “sweet spot” of just enough planning and we’ll use your feedback to continue refining our processes to ensure the best delivery of quality products for our clients.

Pros

The company prioritizes personal connections, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. Contributions are valued over background or education, creating opportunities for growth and recognition based on merit. WaterStreet encourages both independent skill development and internal career advancement. WaterStreet demonstrates social responsibility through local engagement.

Cons

Medical insurance is on the pricey side for spouse and family coverage. The company is moving back to a in office culture which can result in reduced work force to select new potential employees from. Salary could be much more competitive when compared to similar skill sets for positions through out Montana as well as the US. You must set the boundary of work/life balance it will not be done for you.
