Pros
Your peers become your family because they are in the same boat. Some anchors/reporters were friendly.
Cons
10 hour days (if you’re full time) are draining sh*tty insurance No trust between departments No communication Little to no advancement They hire a lot of idiots, just to fill in the spaces Pay is sh*t, not livable at all Overtime opportunities went away during Covid Handled Covid VERY poorly High-stress, low/no reward They want “yes men” who will do whatever they tell them They’ll fire you if you call out too much - even if you have a medical issue Directors are always on call and not paid for it (which is totally illegal!!) Constant anxiety HR is not helpful AT ALL, don’t even tell them anything, they’ll make it worse. Was told it would take 18 months to train on all positions and it took 4 years due to having horrible supervisors who were out to make others as miserable as they were.
