Pros
Weidenhammer offers competitive salaries along with outstanding health and retirement benefits. While the role wasn't exactly what I expected, I was able to, at times, contribute to how SEO business was conducted, and even build new processes. You'll work with some great client brands, and also meet and work with colleagues who have worked at the company for years and strive hard to deliver a quality product.
Cons
The management at Weidenhammer needs additional training to create collaborative, positive, and results-focused teams. For much of my time, I felt like I worked for a boss, not a leader, which was disappointing, and contributed to my decision of leaving my position with less than a year of employment. Modernization is also needed. Many companies today offer a "bucket" of PTO, whereas Weidenhammer had vacation time, personal time, sick time, etc. Some companies today even offer unlimited PTO. Lastly, there were a few times political conversations took place in company-approved communications programs, like Slack. Political comments were made in front of the entire team and any adult with a pulse can understand how this can be an issue, especially for those with differing views.
