Pros
They will hire essentially anyone. Pay is slightly above minimum wage. They will train you for different positions, if only to stick you where they are most desperate for bodies. What they promise is nice, not that they live up to it. Most coworkers are awesome.
Cons
If possible, do not work here. For the love of your sanity and well being. Please reconsider as I list the following cons to working here. Availability isn't adhered to. They will schedule you whenever they need you to work. Also, don't bother trying to change your initial availability, they will most likely find it unacceptable. Stressful work environment. Overworked and understaffed. We're working on a skeleton crew with a constantly expanding workload. A day off is never really that. I'm always getting called in. I have honestly developed phone anxiety. I expect to be called on my day off to work unreasonable hours. They can't fire unreliable people who are always calling off. That same person that quits and gives no notice will be hired back in an instant. Sporadic hours which leave you tired all the time. Management really only cares about how they look to their immediate superior, not about the well being of employees. 401k is only offered to 21 and above. I guess I'm too young to be thinking about finances and retirement. Benefits are bottom line. Your social life will suffer. It is impossible to not let working here interfere with your personal life. I do not feel valued as an employee working here. The first chance I have at another job will be the start of my final two weeks at Weis Markets.
