Pros
All members in tech & UIUX team are good people. It felt like working with bunch or good friends. The promotion was also quick. It took only 4 to 9 months to be promoted. Plus, it was a good place to learn many things if you prefer to be a generalist.
Cons
Based on my experience, there are several challenges within the company’s work culture. Communication from top management tends to be inconsistent. Some commitments that were communicated including matters that should be considered basic employee rights, were often overpromised but not fulfilled. Instead of clarity and trust, employees experienced a high level of micro-management. In certain situations, administrative pressure was used, such as salary withholding on employees who had already expressed their intention to resign. This created a sense of professional insecurity. The company’s work culture appears to be heavily influenced by a quantity-over-quality mindset. It was good but it doesn't have to last for a long time. Deliverables and output volume are prioritized over sustainable processes, quality, and most important: employee well-being. Public holiday policies are applied inconsistently. There were periods when employees were still required to work on national holidays and weekends. In my personal experience, my team worked continuously for an entire month without days off, including intensive overtime. The team was understaffed, yet hiring is not aligned with the growing workload. As a result, responsibilities often become disproportionate to available resources. Overall, this environment has had a noticeable impact on employees’ mental health and lifestyle. Many colleagues sought psychological & medical support, indicating a significant level of workplace stress.
