Pros

On the average, West Monroe employees are decent people who are relatively friendly.

Cons

Normally I would not post, but on the off chance someone may use this to decide between offers, I felt my perspective may be helpful. -I was a victim of workplace harassment and bullying. I wasn't ever believed nor was I ever offered assistance from my workplace "counselor". WM has a complicit culture, where there is no recourse for upper management, nor help for analysts who are being targeted. -The level of clients is not, to the level of MBB or Boutique Consulting firms, which limits potential exit opportunities. -Recently, in a firm video message, management informed that they no longer require a Bachelors degree when considering for employment. This makes the overall prestige of the firm suffer. Which hurts firm positioning within the market. -Acquisitions (made by West Monroe) are for management and for client lists, not for retention of lower level employees. (Was part of a recent acquisition) -Compensation, is significantly below market. Even if you are pegged at your previous firm's compensation, West Monroe's hierarchal structure and pay structure prevents both promotion in title and in pay. -A lot of talk about inclusion and diversity. However, upper management is not representative at all of societal demographics. Policies are skewed (to a huge extent) towards upper management. I joined an Employee Resource Group and was disappointed to find, it was more of a gossip/clique of people rather than people who wanted to support the agenda of the disenfranchised group. -Promotions, in my experience, are based (in some part) to favoritism. Not entirely on merit. That may be fine for some people. -There is a culture of superiority, hierarchy, and strong arming. (Had to fight and advocate for myself till the very end.) -Management had no interest in my complaints. I didn't feel heard, or really cared about as an employee. Which is an awful feeling. I am young in my career and was unsure what more I could have done in this type of situation. I felt trapped and targeted.
