Pros
Sabbatical if you stay for 5 years.
Staff in-person retreat, changes locations, great to see the entire staff together.
Entire company is passionate about state policies and pushing state government to be more green.
Cons
- Besides staff retreat, employees do not socialize with one another except for an occasional HH.
- Uncomfortable social hierarchy that felt stuck in the 90s and serious power dynamics with leadership. You need to adapt and be receptive to change.
- Little area for professional development outside of your job description.
- Issues with being a donor-facing company, WRA posts on social media about what success means instead of building real relationships in the communities.
- huge turnover / retention issue
- Not safe for people of color
