Pros
Friendly work environment. The OKC office feels small so you are still able to get stuff done. None of the large company speed issues. HUGE opportunities to learn, grow, and expand your knowledge. My Resume and marketability MASSIVELY benefited from my time here.
Cons
Very much so a friends and family business. If you are the type of extrovert who would go have a beer with their boss after work or go work out in the gym with your manager during lunch you will excel here. Friends and family may work nonstandard hours with no issues and take sick days when they fill ill. On the other hand if you are not the social type(like myself) you are expected to be there from 8:15 to 5:20. I felt like I was under a microscope the entire time. It also felt uncomfortable to ask to use my PTO or call in sick. On all occasions I asked to use my PTO I was met with a look that sent the message of "how dare you ask to use your PTO". Manager felt unapproachable. It is far more important to Look busy than to get Results. After my 6 month contract was up my first offer was nothing short of insulting. Their second offer was barely acceptable but I took it because of the work environment. I feel like they thought they where paying me to much and were just looking for an excuse to get rid of me. Different departments are not treated fairly. They ask their sales people to suddenly be engineers or they terminate them. Marketing is massively underfunded and overworked.
