Pros
The senior management has no idea how to run a company. They are not aware of who to promote and continually play office politics. The interpersonal relationships between Senior Management is one of the root causes of all the problems. The smartest employees are not identified, only employees who quickly ship garbage code. Quality is not a factor at Wise. Teamwork and collaboration is actively discouraged. you may actually get a negative performance review for doing that. This company is visually diverse but mentally homogeneous. The most senior engineer who built and architect 50% of the stack left.
Cons
How is it possible that employees who have barely contributed to the company's engineering were not laid off, and smart hard working people were. There has been a significant exodus in engineering. 15+ have left with most taking paycuts to go to more normal and decent firms. The nepotism like CEO-Management relationships is the death Knell for Wise Systems.
