Good wage to be able to live where I want to live. Good mine manager, Jake Wilson. Celebrate and reward safety milestones and production. Good contracts to sell coal for years to come.
Cons
Day shift starts at 6 am and its a 45-55 minute drive from town. Harsh winter driving conditions. Difficult mining conditions. Faults, water. CEO doesn't interact with hourly employees. No transparency on corporate spending or earnings or decisions.
