Pros

Great irganization with an inspiring mission, great training and fun coworkers. Centrally located, good opportunity after college but nothing more

Cons

No guidance or mentorship, no funding, old technology, lacks challenge and defined goals. No upward mobility and relies greatly on interns

Pros

It was an awesome environment filled with professional, passionate people who cared about the word they were doing. Interning gives you a very wholesome and complete understanding about the nonprofit industry.

Cons

The company was going through financial issues when I was working there, so it was sometimes a little chaotic. Not their fault, but was definitely an aspect of interning.

Pros

The San Jose office is very beautiful. The employees are also very friendly and after one is settled, it becomes like a second home. While working for Women's, not only will your work be benefiting your company, but it will also expand your horizons and give you many connections in the business world.

Cons

The job gives you lots of busy work. During my time at Women's Initiative, even though I had a college degree I was forced to make flyers and make very basic level jobs. This was the kind of work that should have been given to an intern by I was forced to do it all.
