Pros
WSL: Highly networked; female founder focused; strong leadership; caring & nurturing environment; confidence building; trailblazing; love
Ari (CEO): dedicated, determined, loving, leader, high-expectations of herself and others, nurturing, protective, strong, fierce - and everything else she expects her founders to be
You can learn a lot about Ari and WSL by watching her give the July 2014 SXSW keynote speech.
Cons
WSL has high expectations - but that's only a problem if yours are set too low :-)
It's also a start-up, so as you grow - they're growing with you to keep trailblazing for you and building a strong network around you.
There is no start-up culture that will instruct you to aim low or tell you that life as an entrepreneur should be easy - because it isn't. And every accelerator, incubator, entrepreneur, and mentor understands that to change behavior and make an impact, they must first lead by example. WSL & their leadership is no different. Their focus & mission rests with their hand-selected founders. They keep their class sizes small so they can invest all of their heart and soul into each woman.
They will work you hard, because as an entrepreneur - that is what will be expected of you. They will take risks for you so that you can see what it's like to risk it and succeed AND risk it and fail - because face it, your start-up is one big risk.
If hard work isn't your thing - it's probably not the best fit, but then again neither is start-up life.
