Pros

Good salary because they can’t keep talented employees from leaving because of politics. Great facility (volleyball/basketball courts).

Cons

Worked at Wonderware for 13 years as developer before getting laid off because of outsourcing. Very few management got laid off. Only 1 week after, they fired all Wonderware India outsourced employees then hired Cognizant to re-hire them to manage without acknowledging their attempts at outsourcing for many years was a complete failure. Also many unqualified employees who are relatives of upper management got promoted unjustly. Examples include nieces of the CEO/CTO who got promoted. There's way too much politics and blaming culture and still exists today. You often hear unprofessional curse/foul languages being heard.

Pros

Fast pace. Always something new to learn, never bored. Great management, very supportive.

Cons

There's a lot to learn about this industry if you're not familiar with it. It will take a year or so to become comfortable with the terminology and technology.

Pros

The buildings are pleasant. There is an onsite gym. Some people are competent.

Cons

It's a personality driven company. If you are well liked, you can go far, regardless of your level of competence. If the cool kids don't like you, you will not be successful. Project planning is fiction, historical data about previous projects is not considered, all estimates are revised by higher-ups, resulting in all projects being delayed and employees urged to work harder than the 60 hours a week they currently work.
