Pros

Dynamic company, that is willing to adapt in a low oil price world. Willing to innovate and look beyond traditional oil and gas. Plenty of opportunities to move between offices. Good salaries.

Cons

An large portion of the business is still Oil and Gas. Little / no expenditure on R&D or overheads. All work done must be billable. IT has been outsourced and it takes days to get basic issues sorted. No wage growth in this environment. Poor work / life balance. Often have to work overtime to meet client deadlines. Health and safety is neglected to meet deadlines. Boring office environment with little to no perks.

Pros

Great company, I have no complaints. They have treated me good. I’m hungry to make more money, that is the reason I’m moving on.

Cons

Have a sells crew. I would have jump like a spider monkey.

Pros

* Flexible Schedule * Bus Pass * Not bogged down with old school methods for doing the work * Pleasant work space - not a sweat shop * A good 'can do' attitude from my peers * Friendly - not much politics * Problems with the building get corrected quickly (cockroaches, flood, restroom issues, HVAC)

Cons

* There is not much to set them apart from the other design companies * Low energy prices means low workload (not a diverse work group) * The company goes out and sells a project without considering our skills for the work - then we look bad even though we did our best with what we have for talent * Slow to hire the right help * Young managers do not take charge and don't know how to do the work themselves. I don't know how they got their positions * The executive assistant really runs the place and has a paid parking spot. Her relative is a manager
