Pros

Wood Group used to be a great company, and still has many of the good people that made it special. Flexible work hours are nice.

Cons

Legacy WG PSN employees are being placed in positions of leadership throughout the company, worldwide. It is very hard for anyone from the US to move positions. Scottish employees seem to get preference in any international position. Americans are seen as expensive and not considered for positions they are qualified for. Layoffs have been done in the US business, without communication to the employees, leaving an uncertainty and nervous that is causing good employees to leave. Salary levels are very uneven, with people doing the same job 10s of thousands of dollars apart, with Senior management not interested in making them even, despite their management attempts to do so.

Pros

Great company, I have no complaints. They have treated me good. I’m hungry to make more money, that is the reason I’m moving on.

Cons

Have a sells crew. I would have jump like a spider monkey.

Pros

* Flexible Schedule * Bus Pass * Not bogged down with old school methods for doing the work * Pleasant work space - not a sweat shop * A good 'can do' attitude from my peers * Friendly - not much politics * Problems with the building get corrected quickly (cockroaches, flood, restroom issues, HVAC)

Cons

* There is not much to set them apart from the other design companies * Low energy prices means low workload (not a diverse work group) * The company goes out and sells a project without considering our skills for the work - then we look bad even though we did our best with what we have for talent * Slow to hire the right help * Young managers do not take charge and don't know how to do the work themselves. I don't know how they got their positions * The executive assistant really runs the place and has a paid parking spot. Her relative is a manager
