Woolpert has a zero-tolerance policy for any type of harassment or discrimination, including sexism. While this policy exists, Woolpert recognizes that policies alone can’t combat sexism in the workplace. Because of this, we strive to provide a culture in which employees are empowered to speak up regarding these and other issues, should they occur, so that swift and appropriate measures can be taken.
With more than 20 offices across the nation, we stress the need for open lines of communication at a firmwide and team level. Woolpert provides employees with multiple communication resources, including phones, email, instant messaging and video conferencing systems, to ensure that supervisors and their employees can communicate easily despite differences in location. Leadership also makes deliberate efforts to train supervisors on remote management communication skills to help remedy this situation. We will continue to train remote management best practices.
