- Favoritism puts up blinders and people hindering the culture are praised and rewarded.
- Pay for performance culture but given all the issues stated (and wait, there's more!) tends to not apply. Also the pay is low, they only target the 50th percentile.
- High performers are more like high whiners.
- Pushing AI so heavily, tracking token usage and tying that to outcomes biasedly.
- Lack of proper data collection & analysis.
- People run off vibes and guesses rather than actual analysis.
