Pros

- The value the name of the organization adds to your resume. - The food in the cafeteria is good.

Cons

- if you’re an STC you’re treated like (for a lack of a better word) a slave. You are given tasks outside of your job description. You get thrown under the bus by sector specialists. Anything that the sector specialist doesn’t feel like doing, will get dumped in your lap. - HR is a joke. As an STC you don’t get any benefits and the pay is just plain offensive. There is no way anyone can live in DC on the salary they pay to STC’s. When you try to negotiate they make up some story about a criteria chart they use to figure out how much your pay should be and that based on your qualifications and degree etc etc. the chart says you can only get paid X amount. - You don’t get recognition when it’s deserved. The specialists take credit for the work YOU do. They also get paid 3 times the amount an STC gets paid, yet we’re the ones doing their job! - This organization is one GIANT lie!! Everyone thinks it’s amazing to work here and it’s the most prestigious thing to ever happen to you (I️ thought the same thing too), but trust me when I️ tell you that is all a lie! They come off as this well-oiled organization, but that is the farthest thing from the truth. There are more unhappy employees at this organization than any other place I️ have worked at.
