Pros

You get the chance to meet and work with one of the brightest men in the area of economic development and finances. The job is less stressful compared to similar work in the private sector. You work normal hour and take off every other Friday. Benefits packages are very good for full time employees.

Cons

I would not advise anyone to take a consulting jobs at the World Bank. You get paid per day, for a maximum of 180 days. They would sign you a 20 day contract for a work that required 40 days. Consultants do not get any benefits. Advancement is very complicated. Some people worked for many years without getting the chance to land a full time job.
