- As alluded to in the title, the Senior Management team are dinosaurs. They try to do things the way they've always been done, and the product is suffering because of it.
- Senior management is terrified of modernizing and changing their process. If it changes at all, they whine like crazy.
- Xceleration refuses to hire for the roles that are actually necessary. Project managers aren't actually project managers, but just bossy people who have been with the company for their entire post-college career.
- Xceleration hides their benefits and doesn't make them public before you take the job unless you specifically ask for them. Once you start, you realize it's because their benefits are so terrible. Terribly expensive healthcare and industry sub-par PTO.
- They don't offer flexible vacation like other tech companies in the Charlotte area. You have to get pre-approval and you do NOT get vacation when you start. You have to earn it over the first year and it caps at 3 weeks.
- They don't use modern Agile practices. After trying for months to implement an agile process, they continue to complain about it. They say it's because "it just doesn't work for Xceleration", but it's really because they have less control over the technical team. They would prefer being able to dictate your time and your workload and micromanage you to pieces.
