Cons
Where to start, where to start. Before you read this, note that these aren't just my personal thoughts, these are company wide thoughts. I guess I will start with the awful pay and unfulfilled monetary promises. After a year of working here, my position was given a .25cent per hour raise. That raise was about half what inflation was for the year. "Thanks for your hard work, heres a quarter and now you technically make less than you did when you started!" Recently a call center was added to Xchange. The call center employees get paid the same as me, and this position doesn't require a degree or 80% of the experience and skills needed to my position. Unbelievable slap in the face. Try to figure that one out, because the company doesn't have any answers when this is brought up. My offer letter stated I would receive a year end bonus of 9k-27k depending on a review which was a big reason I choose xchange. I received 900 dollars. Don't really need to expand further on that one. Next: opportunities. There aren't any. And even the ones that some of us have been offered might pay a dollar more per hour. The rest are given out to people who were lucky and guessed which people to suck up to. There is no rhyme or reason here. Many attempts to move up internally result in not even receiving an interview - and the most positions are given to outside candidates. Of course, the company and management try to deny this but its just laughable. The culture used to be great, but most employees, especially those with a lot of talent, are sick of the BS, and are actively applying elsewhere. The company will ask for your good ideas, and then someone in management will take credit, and then laugh when you suggest the work you are doing is above what you are getting paid. It's hard to explain how awful the management is. It's honestly incredible they have gotten to the places they are at. Favoritism and "right time right place". It's hard to explain to someone that doesn't work here, but we will just say most logic is lost on them, and oblivious is a good description. I think the worst part is they know how screwed up so many things are, and then just straight up dont address them. Why would they care that you are underpaid when they are doing fine themselves? Its just all so backwards. If you are worth anything, this place will bring you nothing but frustration.
