Pros

There is good digital knowledge among consultants. There is a strong sense of urgency, however the culture can be quite cowboy-ish.

Cons

Unappreciative leaders and the employee turnover rate is very high.

Xpand Group Response

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you had the experience of colleagues being “cowboy-ish”. We sincerely hope that they are among those who have left the business in recent times as we pride ourselves on quite the opposite. Xpand does not want to be the biggest agency but the most respected. Any employee who does not honour that will not have a long-term career at Xpand. Regarding your comment on high turnover statistically speaking we do better than the industry standard. The average rate of staff turnover in recruitment is between 25%-35%, however our retention rate for FY15 was 82%. We have multiple initiatives to reward great work and the channels of communication, cross locations, are often buzzing with praise. We are sorry you felt your work went unappreciated.

Pros

Ideas are always listened to, your ability is harnessed and weaknesses supported. Leadership team are inspiring and you feel like you work for a cause rather than a business. I truly believe in the Xpand Brand, what it stands for and its values, very proud to call myself an Xpander. Been with the business for 3+ years and cannot see myself wanting to do or go anywhere else. Team is a family and passion is present in all that is done here at Xpand. ` Leadership team is unlike any other I've ever experienced. Its genuine, honest and welcoming. They give you a chance to try things when most business wouldn't

Cons

Like every business, mistakes are still made, but we learn fast and accept constructive feedback no one gets it spot on every time, but being aware of the areas of development is far more powerful than ignoring or defending them.
