Great Company Great People - Professional Services Engineer YCD MULTIMEDIA Employee Review

YCD would best be described as a small company but only in terms of its structure. The portfolio of customers they serve is very impressive and diverse spanning. Various industries from retailers to fashion brands to electronics companies to hotels to big name brands all involved in impressive projects. Management has a great understanding of the industry as well as years of experience making on boarding into a new role comfortable. Small teams work well together within each dept and cross functional support is always available. Management is very open to new ideas and communication with executive team is as simple as a knock on their door. Overall environment is relaxed most of the time and switches to fast paced as needed to get the job and projects done.

The only con which comes to mind is the mixed message of what YCD offers in terms of product solutions, which has changed over the last few years. I have personally seen a great change in improved communications both internally and externally, a new updated brand look which was needed and better overall clarity and business focus.

Small company environment offers a bit of flexibility. Depending on your department and who your manager is he/she may be understanding if you get sick and/or need time off without much notice. It's easy to balance work and life. There is a typical 50 hour week and sometimes a little less depending on your position.

Management is not as well verse as they should be on the various products, customers' veiws as well as what it takes to run a successful company. Pay and benefits are pretty Non-competitive. There isn't a great sense of teamwork. Management needs to seriously talk with and listen to employees. Reviews seem pretty pointless.
