Engaged employer

ZIM is a decent employer... I do not feel overly welcomed or supported, however this is not the worst job ever, - Anonymous employee ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Employee Review

Pros

Very open-door style management throughout the company thus far. If you speak Spanish or enjoy hearing the language, then the Miami office is for you, as they mainly speak Spanish here. Occasional office events (low budget but still tasteful) such as BBQs and B-day parties Cross-collaboration with various foreign partners; enriching experience in regard to working with different people daily.

Cons

This is fairly common to the international logistics industry but communication channels as there are language barriers and time zone differentials that obscure the flow or progress of work. There is virtually no training program or rather at least for my role (albeit it is only myself and one other individual who share this job title in the entire office) Very unorganized and care-free environment to a degree where actions such as bringing your child/spouse to work randomly feels as if encouraged, There is a heavy sense of favoritism to a handful of people here, furthermore there is a strong "clique" culture ingrained in the company dynamics. A potential threat of racism as minorities in the office are often made to feel uncomfortable in and outside the office.

Pros

Employees are very understanding of new hires and do their best to help. HR helps a lot with the intern program, and it is very helpful.

Cons

Early on it takes a couple days to receive access to all applications. I understand that it is hard to have that all ready, but it would be helpful.

Pros

Stable company that is easy to manage. Work life balance is great

Cons

Management through and through. Working in the US for an Israeli company is not like working for a US company. Simple as that. Pay is poor Micromanagement and reporting Old school in the worst ways
