Pros

The benefits and insurance are great. Very easy and affordable healthcare.

Cons

Higher ups tend to look down on and expect way more of the "lower level" people than possible. Volunteers with money or who are on the board get treated better than the employees. Communication and organization do not exist. When you are scheduled off, you still tend to have to do work and may be called in. Do not promote very often. Portray themselves as a "family" and that they care about your well-being, but this changes after time.

Pros

Traveling to new states, building time management and organizational skills, learning to confidently troubleshoot and adapting to unforeseen circumstances, the support from the organization as a whole, future doors will open for volunteering when you complete your year as an LC, Food travel and living is paid for by the company.

Cons

Accommodations are inconsistent and not always private. Work life balance is difficult. Not paid well considering the amount of work you are achieving. The paid food and living expenses does not even out the small paycheck. You are working 7 days a week and typically 60+ hours per week, but only get paid for 40 hours each week.
