Pros

Working at ZeroEyes was a highlight in my experience. The pace was amazingly fast, never boring. The leadership was smart, humble, and approachable. The mission, to end gun violence particularly on school campuses, and the level of commitment to the mission that the organization has built into their culture makes going to work feel like a blessing. Working with such a talented and diverse group, all of whom are so passionate about what they are doing, gives you a sense of purpose that I can't really explain. Working for a company at this stage also gives you flexibility to build your role and find out how you can add the most value to the organization. They are extremely flat in terms of having a voice, the lowest ranking employee has the same impact when speaking up, which is encouraged heavily. Super fun, safe, and accepting environment.

Cons

Not really a con per se, more of a warning: If you don't believe in the mission, don't bother. They are so committed, so passionate about the work and the mission, that it would be impossible to "fit in" or "belong" at the organization without sharing that sense of purpose. That being said, it is a contagious atmosphere so its also really difficult to work there and not contract the same passion and purpose.

Pros

-Culture is awesome - Management team gets it - Growth seems great. Momentum is all positive

Cons

- Series B is still a startup - Occasional long hours. Things tend to move quickly - Nothing other than that! I can't say enough good things!

Pros

They sell you hard on the veteran community and camaraderie there. However, it’s all using and abusing veterans, through skill bridge with active duty working for free, to hiring known disabled veterans who they can low ball on an hourly wage by selling them on the product and team environment as a trade off. They will tell you everything you could possibly want to hear as a hungry veteran seeking a community again since leaving active duty.

Cons

There’s no true brotherhood there or team, minus a few good ones. HR, management, the good ole boys club will rid of you regardless of your work ethic and team first mindset. They preach they want feedback and “no jerks”. They will shame you for providing feedback and in fact the biggest jerks/bullies. They’ll dangle the carrot in front of you for a year or more with unfulfilling meetings and promises never delivered.
