Pros
Work from home, flexible schedule, teammates across time zones which can be a pro or con depending on circumstances.
Cons
Zinklar turned out to be a large disappointment and a far cry from the promises made during the hiring process. What was sold to me as an opportunity to receive personalized coaching and skill development from Sales Leadership evolved into a series of shattered expectations and an absence of meaningful guidance.
Before joining Zinklar, I was assured that the role would involve hands-on coaching with Sales Leadership, allowing me to hone my abilities in crucial areas like discovery, presenting, pricing, and negotiation. However, this pledge turned out to be nothing more than a hollow promise. I was given no constructive feedback or guidance during my initial one-to-one meeting with my manager many months into my role, which ended abruptly with my unexpected dismissal.
Moreover, the working environment drastically differed from what was portrayed. I was led to believe that I would be supported by a proficient SDR team, responsible for scheduling meetings and facilitating my skill development. Regrettably, this was not the case. Instead, the role predominantly centered on outbound tasks and relentless outreach efforts. Astonishingly, I never witnessed a single meeting arranged by the promised SDR team throughout my tenure to any of my teammates on the sales team.
Despite my dedication and willingness to contribute my expertise to assist the business development team, there was a glaring lack of reciprocity or acknowledgment from management. The role I was initially hired for had transformed into something unrecognizable, devoid of the promised support and professional growth opportunities.
Zinklar's failure to deliver on its commitments not only led to a frustrating and demoralizing experience for me but also highlighted a significant discrepancy between the company's promises and its actual work environment. This lack of transparency, coupled with the absence of the advertised support structure, resulted in a profoundly disappointing professional engagement.
