Pros
Most of the developers are sound, especially the non-"key" ones.
Cons
The pattern of empty promises is an ongoing issue with Sinkworks'. A salary review was promised after 1 year anniversary with the company, but the process was constantly delayed for 4 months. Staff were assured that the salary increase would be back-dated, and we trusted the management. Then the company declares a salary freeze for all staff and everyone is told that they won't in fact get any increase for the foreseeable. From there, management offered "top secret" raises to employees that they realised were job hunting. (This was 6 months after the expected salary increase date, and would not be back-dated.) The shenanigans continued when trying to negotiate a reasonable end date in order to accept a new job. After waiting for 1 full week for management to try and arrange a replacement (from 40 developers on their bench), they had failed and implied that notice period would remain at the full 3 months (13 weeks). This was undoubtedly playing out the same way as the salary increase saga, but thankfully escalating to higher management resulted in a more reasonable 7 weeks notice period. Sinkworks offer a €150 subsidy towards a home-office desk/chair. However when finishing off the notice period, they requested that either "their" equipment (actually worth more than €150) be returned or else agree to have the €150 deducted from the final salary. Nice one. With a new job started, one would hope to be finished with this disastrous excuse for a company. However after receiving the final payment from Sinkworks last week, lo-and-behold it is about €620 under what was expected (that includes the deducted €150!). The payslip for that period has not been issued. After contacting Sinkworks' on Monday, they said they would follow-up to get the missing payslip (re)issued. Today is Thursday, and there's still no sign of the final payslip. One might find their bank account at least €6k lighter than what it should be; thanks to Sinkworks and their delay tactics, their empty promises, their lies, their deception, their common thievery. P.S. nobody is going to attend a staff party if they have to pay €14 to get fed.
