Cared about employees. Great culture!

Buying and selling of company and assets was its downfall.

i am very satisfied in my job at Zymogenetics. I work with an amazing group of people that are here to achieve business goals, while keeping personal life and work/ life balance in mind. Although Zymo does not have a day care facility on site, I feel that I am well supported as a working mother in other arenas. The culture promotes flexibility not only in issues related to family, but in work schedule related to commute reduction and supporting personal safety by providing paid time off in cases of extreme inclement weather. I work with staff ranging from upper management to worker-bee level, and am always impressed with their abilities, aptitude, and friendliness.

The only downside is not working in my chosen field. I would like to go back and continue my education to change my field, but my satisfaction with Zymo makes it hard to take that step.
