Pros

-Beautiful office and amenities (nothing is "free," though) -Casual dress code and work environment (flexible breaks and office etiquette) -Travel discounts are great (if you can take time off to ever use them) -Supervisor support is easily accessible (even though they have little control over your opportunity for success) -Training was the best part. Colleen, Curtiss, Danielle, Todd - these people actually cared and helped us develop our skills. Everyone who graduated was determined/prepared/excited because of the trainers and their commitment to excellence.

Cons

-PAY: you're warned this is not an easy sale, but more than 75% of the agents in my department are struggling to make end's meet. Most of us are making less than $1000 per paycheck, regardless of how hard we work (and overtime is prohibited). -CUSTOMER SERVICE: these sales are difficult, because the customers are so unhappy. There are errors in more than half of the transactions/bookings processed. Account Managers are discouraged from acting as customer service - it's a sale and that's all. Most of the calls received by inbound agents - which are supposed to result in sales - revolve around a problem resulting from another agent's lack of attention or concern for the customer. -ETHICS: agents from all of the offices, especially Orlando, have lied to and over-promised these customers. The mentality is to get the sale any way possible, then move on to the next. Some people have horror stories of losing thousands of dollars with this company, and we encourage them to spend more. Many of the top performers (most of which are senior agents) are responsible for repeatedly scamming and neglecting these customers - and for higher cancellation rates, go figure! This ruins business for everyone long-term. -OVERALL: there is no relief. The managers and supervisors will instruct you "by the book," as if you're not a real human. They have little control over the payout and you can tell they are as unhappy as the agents. The customers are increasingly disgusted with the company as a whole - I've never been so harshly attacked by customers in my life, I'm called a liar and a thief and have been accused of scamming (for business that isn't even mine) DAILY. If you have no moral compass and are a good "salesperson," in that you can manipulate the customer without actually lying (since all calls are recorded), then you do have a CHANCE to make good money. But if you sincerely care about your customers or want to go home each day feeling good about yourself, this is not the job for you. The payout is not worth the psychological damage.
