Pros
There are a few really good people who work here.
Cons
The company is truly toxic. It starts with the founder + CCO Jen Gotch. She has created a work environment that is built on passive aggressive manipulation. At this company you are expected to work for low wages and if you leave before 6pm you're seen as not as committed or selfish. You are expected to give up weekends for public events the company throws (which you are not being compensated to work). If you disagree or dissent you are ostracized in some way, which is a huge problem in and of itself but especially because Jen also regularly makes openly racist comments. The toxicity and racism that Jen exhibits (and that her core management team upholds through their mirrored behavior or through their silence) is something that is regularly acknowledged privately among other employees but no one feels empowered to address it in a way that would not risk their own standing. Here, you are pushed to an excessive workload though if you are good or successful at your job it can also be seen as a potential threat - another fact that is privately acknowledged by many. Simply put, the facade of Ban.do that publicly promotes mental health, female empowerment and collaboration is truly the furthest thing from the inner workings of how the company is ran.
