They have an office in Vienna, but depending on the mood (it is random), they make you go to Fischamend, a city where the airport stands, and there is not even a good place to eat. Additionally, if you are in the "favorite list" you can get a Tesla! While company communications claim equality, different employees face different rules and privileges. This favoritism is quickly noticed by new hires and undermines morale.

Working at Cargo Partner was a deeply traumatizing experience. Here are the key issues I faced: 1. Broken Promises: They promised benefits during the hiring process that were not honored, blaming a fired leader. Even after confirming conditions with another leader present during my interview, the promises were still not kept. This also happened to other people that I got to know. 2. Fear Culture: The environment was tense, especially on the last Friday of every month when people were frequently fired. “Silent layoff” strategies like excessive micromanagement and strict time control were common. We had to log every hour of our workday by tasks, everyday, and our time and location were tightly controlled. Any deviation could result in termination. 3. Counterproductive Management Practices: Efficiency and quality were not valued. Employees would extend tasks or schedule unnecessarily long meetings to avoid new assignments. The company claimed to use Agile and SAFe methodologies but operated like a poorly managed production line from the industrial revolution. 4. Toxic Work Culture: The company falsely marketed itself as “green,” while bureaucracy and managerial yelling were rampant. Gossip and mistrust were widespread due to the fear of layoffs. 5. Micromanagement and Nepotism: My manager was overly strict, likely due to fear of being fired. The company was run by a single owner, leading to nepotism and unqualified management. Non-Austrians were micromanaged endlessly. Outdated Leadership: The owner knew logistics, not software. The supposed IT C-level executive, likely a relative, was clueless and ridiculed by IT staff. In summary, Cargo Partner is a toxic workplace with broken promises, high turnover, poor management, and an oppressive culture. Working there was a traumatizing experience, and I feel sorry for those still stuck in such an environment. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
