Pros

The work is fast-paced, demanding, and consistently challenging—perfect for those who enjoy solving complex problems and having a real impact. You gain deep exposure to the financial industry, especially in servicing demanding financial advisors. Strong exposure to modern SaaS and AWS cloud technology stacks; developers in particular will gain tremendous hands-on experience deploying and operating a multi-tenant SaaS solution. Management has a clear vision for the product and works tirelessly to balance company budget, employee wellbeing, and client satisfaction. Executive leadership is highly aware that teams are stretched, and they are actively introducing new processes and workflows to improve productivity and support healthier work/life balance. Compensation is competitive and structured to attract top talent. Stock options are available and offered to outstanding employees, adding strong long-term incentive.

Cons

The demanding pace won’t be for everyone; it requires strong adaptability and time-management. As with many scaling companies, growing pains exist, especially around processes that are still evolving.

Pros

• Really smart people — worked alongside intelligent folks who always dug deeper into proposed solutions, and ensured the best quality output was shipped. • Collaborative culture — worked cross-functionally with people across every area of the company (including senior members), enhancing visibility into strategic and technical decision-making and overall awareness of the product development process. • Opportunity for growth — Projects of varying scope and complexity kept me consistently learning about new areas of the wealth management industry, as well as adapting to new working styles when collaborating with new team members per project.

Cons

Lack of design-focused feedback — Being the sole UX Designer on the team, this was understandable, but the existing team structure at the time made it difficult to consistently receive feedback on proposed designs, shortening the time I could spend on ideation/exploration.
