Pros

I’ve worked at de Banke Group for 10+ years and the opportunities I’ve been able to own throughout this time have been limitless. I started my journey as a PA, however, 18 months later and after showing a keen interest, my role progressed to the core operations of IP Centrum and what a journey it has been, so far! I don’t see what I do as a ‘job’ but as work that I can pour my mind and heart into and it means something. I like doing things well, taking ownership and learning, and on top of that I’m surrounded by others that feel the same way too. For this I’m truly grateful that I have the pleasure of working for and with, such like-minded and caring people. This company isn’t for everyone, especially the fainthearted. It’s hard work that we do here but it’s because we’re trying to do the possible, when everyone else says that it’s impossible. I personally like that challenge and I thrive from it. Whist I’m doing the things I love, the company also offer great additions for us all too, such as (but not limited to): - Free on-site amazingly talented Chefs who make the most delicious food I’ve ever tasted! - Free Hairdressing services by the wonderful Jo (my locks have never been so well maintained) - Unlimited holiday policy - Free Chiropractic treatments I don’t see these as ‘perks’ but things that I’m thankful to have, as they help me to feel good and be fuelled while I’m doing some pretty intense work.

Cons

- Can be long hours. I personally don’t see this as a con (the hours fly by in my world). With this YOU have the power to improve it (for yourself and others). If you have a can do attitude and are motivated to do things efficiently, then like me this will not be a problem for you.

Pros

Great benefits (health plan, chiropractor, holiday, amazing healthy meals + snacks, hair salon, team events, etc). Great support in terms of work like balance. Great support in terms of job role / task completion with a pragmatic approach whilst still striving for excellence. Very informal / loose management structure, easily approachable and always open to hear new ideas, concerns and constructive criticism of existing processes. Extremely challenging and varied work, leading to immense job satisfaction. Projects are often started with a very loose idea of what the solution to the end goal is, which can give plenty of opportunity for creativity, to take ownership and to steer a project. Working at de Banke Group is extremely challenging. Some days can be long and stressful ... however ... if you are driven to produce your best work you can, can be honest with yourself and the rest of the team about where you are at, and have the gumption to pull through ... then this can be a great place to work and a great team to be a part of, producing some spectacular results.

Cons

Very informal / loose management structure can sometimes make it can feel like quite hard work to figuring out what the "right" thing to do is and how to get help during a project. Extremely challenging and varied work, leading to a fair amount of stress, sleepless nights and hair loss. Projects are often started with a very loose idea of what the solution to the end goal is, which can sometimes result in the feeling of constantly moving targets and lack of direction. Working at de Banke Group is extremely challenging. Some days can be long and stressful and at times it can feel like nothing you do is good enough.

Pros

I’ve been working at the DeBanke group for coming up to 3 years now, and it’s not like any other company I have worked for before, it’s very unique in the way it operates. For me it took a small amount of adjusting having come from more of a ‘corporate’ background, but it didn’t take long for me to find my groove and realise how special of an environment it is. The work is challenging and is not for the faint hearted. My role has expanded over the years and in turn so has my own personal development which is very satisfying. You have to self-manage and there will always be pressures that come with this way of working, however, it is incredibly rewarding as I feel like my mind is engaged every day and it’s a great feeling to know that you aren’t just ‘coasting’ through your day. Management and the team are amazing. Each person works incredibly hard to do well in what they are working on and to support each other as much as possible. Above all else the team are a very caring bunch of likeminded people and it’s a privilege to work with them. The perks are amazing, we are incredibly well looked after…chefs onsite that prepare delicious lunches and snacks for us, a free hairdresser, to name a couple!

Cons

In busier periods or when challenges arise this does mean that hours can be longer and pressures can feel quite high, but to do the job well, you must be prepared to put in the time. The aim is always to maintain the best quality of work and deliver a high standard of service to clients, and you don’t get this without putting in the graft!
