Pros
DA's staff work exceptionally hard, and have a great attitude about it. They overcome challenging obstacles every day, producing features with amazing capabilities. The community that uses DeviantArt's platform is amazing. There is never a dull moment or lack of creative inspiration!
Cons
There isn't much room for advancement as the company is small and the organizational structure is fairly flat. The business strategies are unfocused. Leadership has tried to grow the business in too many directions at once, a lot of effort is expended, and project results too often fall short of projections. Most projects feel like they were dreamed up in a bubble, with many cautionary factors unconsidered or explicitly ignored, and then marching orders are dictated to the company. It can be a fun trip if you're someone who likes to go along for the ride.. but it exhausts morale for those who really try to make it a better product.
