Pros
dotmailer is a great place to work if you're part of the sales or dev team, lots of perks, rewards, training and trips abroad. There is a really good level of flexibility particularly on the dev side of things around working hours and working from home. Good working hours culture, most people leave at 5:30pm on the dot, so often there is a queue for the lift at these times. Free fruit, biscuits, fizzy drinks and free lunches twice a month are nice touches and the office managers go out of their way to ensure there is something for everyone. Growing company with a sense of fun, if you're looking for it you'll never be short of a night out or a beer after work.
Cons
The main focus of the company is sales as they are a public company, so that is where most of the attention and money is invested by the business. The second focus is product, so if you're not part of those two teams you're essentially on the periphery of the business. Huge sales culture and with no women on the direct sales team and no female representation on the board it can feel like a bit of a boys club at times. The company is growing fast and isn't that well equipped for this. There are certain cliques within the business and also a large number of office relationships/romances which can make the dynamic weird at times, especially if you're a new member of staff.
