Pros

(1) The employers truly value their employees and believe in a work/life balance. Flex time, comp time, plenty of paid time off and holidays. You're expected to work extremely hard, but play hard, too. There's a strong sense of loyalty from employees to employers and vice versa. (2) Small company with young, energetic, fun employees. The people you work with make all the difference, and eMetric has some great characters. Whether it's celebrating an employee's new baby or the latest Spurs victory, you'll always find something to celebrate at eMetric. (3) Family-oriented. This goes along with the work/life balance in #1, but it really deserves it's own point. Most companies will not go above and beyond for their employees. eMetric does.

Cons

(1) Very few professional development opportunities or room for career advancement. Many employees feel "stuck" in their current positions with nowhere to go. (2) Senior management is change averse when it comes to new ways to do business, which is very frustrating. They are, however, quick to adopt new technology.

Pros

- works in the education area - you get paid close to a full-time even as an intern

Cons

- they don't have a well structured internship program, it might not be a good idea to work here if what you plan to get is experience - their software development model is very old and not so agile, lack of communication with each other - not much opportunity for up movement - the company don't seem to want to expand, they are keeping as a small company forever which really hinders the speed of development - they don't keep their promise - they revoked their verbal promise as they think they're a small and traditional business which don't care about verbal promises.
