Pros

intimate work setting fast fashion--product arrives daily not a catty commissioned environment generous employee discount ignorance is bliss

Cons

complete disarray in corporate structure and communication. endless turnover at the home office. the original team that made francesca's a desirable and people invested company to work for have been let go like rapid fire. You will continuously have to redeem yourself with new supervisors because you lose your footing at each dismissal. constant change in policy & procedure, drastic too. like stripping maternity leave and bonus payouts--can only receive bonus if you are employed until the last week of the month following the month you earned you bonus for (seriously? what?). dont ever give you notice until the month after you worked your butt off to make your bonus. payroll is rarely allocated for any drastic floor moves, and if it is, its defeated when you arrive to work to find that either the directive hasn't been sent out to stores or that they decided to postpone it. And if it’s postponed, good luck. Your whopping staff of maybe seven people most likely don’t have the availability to come in last minute to complete it, especially that top talent you onboarded for $8-$9. competitive pay? get used to being laughed at when making offers. our pay scale is embarrassing, especially considering the caliber of talent we are expected to onboard. the staffing census in boutiques is around 6-7 people, this cant support the endless turnover of employees leaving for other companies that offer higher pay and benefits. you don't have a voice. you are what your supervisor says you are, it doesn't matter what position you hold. those who make executive decisions to counteract, reprimand or dismiss and investigate reports are too tied up in the endless projects of operating too many stores than we have manpower for. Don’t ever expect a follow up. Seriously. if you like answers to your questions this isn't the place for you. be prepared to wait days, weeks and months to get answers to imperative business questions or supply needs that impact business directly. If you can ask your supervisor directly, you most likely will be told “I don’t have the answer to that, I will find out.” ……………………..crickets. HR concern? Don’t ever waste your breath communicating any events that are clearly stated in the handbook as being unethical and against policy. You will never hear a peep about it again. Just deal with the hostile working environment or leave. The promise. Its our guest experience model that is fantastic in theory but like I said before, we do not have the support of a large staff to be able to execute this consistently. What this means is that visits from your DM and RD will be complete hell because they will always expect you to be producing what is physically impossible. I am one person who is scheduled alone until 1-2 PM, I have 12 people in my store, are you kidding?

Flexibility, great community, growth opportunities, supportive executives

Cons

Nothing about the business. Liquidation and closure of the brand was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.
