Pros

Nice office space, lovely people

Cons

I have many skills I sold myself on at interview which aren't being taken advantage of despite me trying to push myself forwards and take on more responsibility. Line management has far too many layers of hierarchy and my line manager knows no more and has no more power than me. I've had about 5 one-to-ones in the last 16 months and I've just given up asking to have them as I end up just saying the same things over and over - the response from my manager is usually agreeing with me and going on a rant about his own issues - I am not sure why he hasn't left already. There are people who like to talk a lot but not take actions or make a decision at the end of the conversation. Even high up people seem to have no power to make changes to the way we work. The office is not in the city centre which doubles my commute time

Pros

Despite its severe issues as I left 6 months ago after a huge amount of lay offs, this place will always have a place in my heart, and I absolutely loved my team and almost everyone else too. I would happily work there again if I the company improves its financial state and I manage to get better pay. I came in fairly young and appreciated that they had faith in me, and worked there for nearly 4 years, and I feel like I cemented myself in my later years and made a huge impact, and people appreciated what I did given the tough circumstances. I hope everyone that’s still there is doing well! I also very much appreciated the remote working.

Cons

The management was not great, and all over the place despite having some very smart people, the leadership put all their eggs in one basket and that fell through which led to huge lay offs, meanwhile we were always developing new things but never fixing what we had already, and we all lost faith in our products and business model. I was also promised a promotion and pay rise for years that it’s coming soon but never came.

Pros

Flexibility to work remotely, head office location, fun business updates and work parties.

Cons

Lack of commitment to UX design, designers have left and not been replaced, lots of engineers but not enough design resource, lack of promotion possibilities, hard work goes unacknowledged, senior management not very good, over reliance on demanding big clients.
